Un supplément au catalogue a été rédigé par M. Texier-Bernier, gendre du graveur. Il fut édité en annexe ŕ l ouvrage de Charles Saunier, Auguste Lepčre, paru en 1931 chez M. Le Garrec. L amateur désireux d étudier le travail du graveur pourra se reporter utilement ŕ deux autres sources secondaires mais riches d informations inédites. D abord l Inventaire du Fonds français aprčs 1800, par J. Lethčve et F. Gardey, qui donne la liste des feuilles de Lepčre conservées au Cabinet des Estampes de la Bibliothčque Nationale. Cet ensemble constitue une des plus importantes collections d estampes d A. Lepčre. On pourra aussi consulter avec profit le descriptif des peintures, dessins, estampes et objets d art exposés par l artiste de son vivant dans les Salons parisiens, collecte que nous avions déjŕ faite pour les gravures avec G. Dugnat pour le Dictionnaire des graveurs, illustrateurs et affichistes français et étrangers paru en 2001. Bois gravés, gravures sur bois, eaux-fortes, aquatintes en couleurs, lithographies : l uvre gravé de premier ordre qui est celui d A. Lepčre réclamait un ouvrage de référence aussi complet que possible. C est pourquoi nous avons enrichi la réédition de la somme d A.
