Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. Published in London in 1889, this is a very scarce and sought after Victorian short story collection of Horror & Supernatural stories. This example was originally the property of Fulham Conservative Club Member's Lending Library, with their library bookplate to front pastedown, no further library marks within, the book has been rebound in cloth probably at the time it was in the lending library. The cloth is very worn and faded with splits along spine edges and loss at spine ends, internally there are occasional mild handling and other marks within, three pages (pictured) had been strengthened along inner edges with tape (now removed) this has left brown staining to those inner page edges, a couple of the gatherings are standing slightly proud of the text block, else in acceptable condition.
