Brain; volume has creasing in bottom margins, impinging slightly on body of text; tight, text clean. Paginated 42-71 (with pp. 42 and 71 being the inside covers), well illustrated. Contents: expanded gorgets, adena culture -- the adena point -- horsefly, doc and billy's columbus, indiana, meeting was a huge success -- an unusual engraved pottery vessel -- "digging in another man's dirt is a waste of time." Oversize [r b].

Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First edition, first priniting of this collection of stories and articles. The pinup "Love at Rhumba Number" by Al Moore is intact. The F. Scott Fitzgerald story "Three Hours Between Planes" is a reissue originally published by Esquire in 1941. The "Fearful Ones" by Jack Iams and "Unholy Woman" by James Warner Bellah are original stories. A 1/2-inch sticker scar to the front cover. Light edge wear. In very good condition.
