Condition: very good. The artwork is after James Gilray. This is a set of four original hand colored prints that are on two sheets. The first sheet has prints 1 & 2. The other sheet has prints 3 & 4. The prints hallmark the university experience of a new student. The prints were exceptionally colored at the time of publication. A search of the internet locates individual prints in the Library of Congress, British Museum and Yale University. No pairs or sets of four prints could be found. The prints were engraved and published by H. Humphrey on October 22nd 1806 in London. The prints show the freshman at his most vulnerable. There are various scenarios of exposure of the young. 4 prints on two sheets each sheet approximately 23 3/4 x 19 1/2 inches.
