Bound in beige cloth boards, vellum spine with colour decorations to the top board. Includes five maps. Fore edge and bottom edge are rough cut. A very good copy with moderate soiling on the boards. Internally, the surface of the front paste down is rubbed from the removal of a book plate, or some other item. The text block is clean and free of any markings. Much of the material is from Columbus' own writing, rather than the increasingly critical evaluations of his actions, however justified.
