When the First Union National Bank of Williamstown is robbed, the three bank robbers get away by hitching th…eir car to Wilbur's trailer. When the police find part of Wilbur's coat in front of the open safe, they suspect bank teller Wilbur of being in on the robbery. But according to Carol, Wilbur is not smart enough to rob a bank and it shows. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good to Near Fine, with a tiny snag at one corner, and a few tiny spots of discoloration near the top edge.

Both photographs with a studio stamp crediting photographer Jones on the verso, and one with two mimeo snipes on the verso, one affixed and one printed. From the archive o…f noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. College football star Jack Oakie and piccolo player Lanny Ross both have eyes for Helen Mack, and their rivalry continues after graduation when Oakie gets a job in Ross' dad's department store. Lanny Ross was a singer, pianist, songwriter, and actor who appeared in eleven films from 1933 to 1943. He was also the winner of the 300 yard sprint at the 1928 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine.

He is holding a live white duck in his lap with its head resting on Penner's shoulder. Inscribed on the left side: "To Florence Monett Sincerely Joe Penner." Gently warped, but stil…l in very good condition. Joe Penner was a major craze in Vaudeville during the Depression years of 1933 and 1934. He later parlayed his famous one-liner, "Wanna buy a duck?" into a successful radio career. In the 1930s, his radio show premiered the voice of a young Mel Blanc, whose character, Egghead, was partly based on Penner and was the forerunner of Blanc's legendary character Elmer Fudd.
