The book has been rebacked with original spine cloth relaid (some loss of the original at spine ends and joint edges, minor discoloration covers, inside hin…ges secured with binder's green cloth (matches the color of the covers), minor tiny foxing spots restricted mostly to pages opposite plates and maps (vast majority of pages have no foxing), solid binding, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, large folding map at middle of book has crinkling along top edge and tissue-like paper tape repair of short tear at stub, folding map at rear has 5cm tear at stub otherwise is in nice condition. The book measures 235mm tall x 165mm, and has 608 pages, 271 b/w photos, 4 plates of colored paintings, 4 colored maps (3 folding), b/w sketches & paintings, several small in-text maps, index.
