Vol. 1." - Perret 234. - Erschien erstmals 1863. - Mit handschriftlichem Besitzvermerk von Sir Henry Hubert Hayden auf dem Vortitelblatt. Der Geologe und Bergsteiger Hayden (1869-1923) war Direktor des «Geological Survey of India» und nahm an verschiedenen Expeditionen teil. Er war einer der Mitberünder und später Präsident des «Indian Science Congress» und Mitglied der «Asiatic Society of Bengal», 1917-1918 deren Präsident. Hayden kam am 12. August 1923 zusammen mit seinen beiden Bergführern durch einen Felssturz beim Abstieg vom Finsteraarhorn ums Leben, seine Leiche und die von César Cosson wurden erst am 28. August gefunden, beide wurden in Lauterbrunnen bestattet. - Einband etwas fleckig und im Rückengelenk angerissen. Etwas locker im Gelenk. Vortitelblatt und letzte Seite gebräunt. Karten verso im Falz verstärkt. S. 450-490 mit Wasserfleck in der oberen Ecke. Sprache: französisch.
