Add to basketPaperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book covers the lives of characters from folklore and mythology from across the globe. Ancient deities, mythical heroes, and legendary creatures alike are brought together in one, vast, voluminous source. Beyond simply collating these figures, the author explores the origins and literary lineage of each entry, from the ancient deities of Rome to the latest creations of modern folklore. This amalgam of fable and fact paints a vivid and engaging picture of humankind's long fascination with creating narratives to explain the unexplainable. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
