År 1886 blev han intendent för Oscar II:s konstsamling. I sitt praktfulla verk "Svenska statens samling av väfda tapeter: historik och beskrifvande förteckning", 4 volymer, utgivna 1895-98, försökte han intressera allmänheten för dessa konstskatter. Verket följdes 1928 av "Tapisseries à figures des 16:e et 17:e siècles". Bland hans övriga arbeten märks sådana om Georg Haupt (1901), konstskåpet i Uppsala (1909-1910), om Drottningholms slott och Stockholms slott med flera.

Softcover. Condition: vg to near fine. Limited first edition. 1/300. 48pp. [2] (+ 15 plates). Folio. Tan paper wrappers with black and red lettering on the front covers. Title page and front cover with publisher's device. One of a limited edition of 300 copies printed on linen rag paper. A finely printed historical monograph on the original Royal Chapel designed by Nicodemus Tessin the Younger (1654-1725), before it was destroyed in the infamous Royal Castle Fire of 1697. Text throughout contains historical and bibliographic footnotes. The final section contains 15 unnumbered glossy plates of b/w photographic reproductions after illustrations of the original chapel as well as images of surviving artifacts and ritual objects. Text in Swedish. Wrappers with a few light smudges and scratches, including some light pencil markings to the back cover. Creases along the spine. Binding in very good, interior in near fine condition overall. Wrappers protected in modern mylar. *The second part of the series of historical monographs on Stockholm's castle (Studier Rörande Stockholms Slott).

Published by [ENGLISH: - - - Monograph, in Swedish, about Georg Haupt, Sweden's foremost cabinet maker. Illustrated with 52 photographic plates. Half cloth, lightly worn. - - - George Haupt was the son of a Nuremberg carpenter and learnt his trade as an apprentice of Johan Conrad Eckstein in Stockholm, after which he travelled as a journeyman to Amsterdam, Paris and London. He became cabinetmaker to King Adolphus Frederick in 1769 and a master carpenter and burgess in Stockholm in 1770 and 1771, respectively. Details of his life in Paris are scarce but he was probably employed in the workshop of Simon Oeben, the brother of the better-known Jean-François Oeben. His first royal commission in Sweden was to be a desk intended as a gift for the Queen. After, 1771
