Original blind stamped cloth, spine worn at head and a little at edges also, title page printed in red & black. All clean internally and uncut edges point out this is an unrestored and all original copy. The contents deal mainly with the borough in the 19th century, up to the 1850's of course. An area only really built on in the late 17th century onwards, Lambeth Palace is discussed, other long gone antique sites. Nice plate of the elections of 1837, manufacturers detailed, rare plants, etc. Originally the land was owned by Brixi a Saxon!
