The upper half of the depiction shows the sprightly old man handing a bouquet of flowers to a much younger woman. Below this is an explanatory text. The church of Ernstbrunn in Lower Austria can be seen in the background - The anecdote of the jolly old man seems to have been a truly exceptional occurrence, as many international newspapers in 1830 and 1838-40 reported the death of a certain Georg Domberger, who was allegedly 122 years old - Untrimmed, somewhat browned, with traces of folding.
