28x21.5 cm (large octavo), pp. [1-40] (not paginated), mostly illustrations, self wrappers, stapled. First edition. "Copyright July, 1942, Keesler Field Exchange" on page [2]. A profusely illustrated souvenir booklet for Keesler Field. At the time, Keesler Field (now Keesler AFB) near Biloxi, Mississippi, was the site of the Arm…y Air Force Technical School and one of the Army's basic training centers. During most of the WW II period the focus was upon specialized training in Consolidated B-24 Liberator maintenance. The Tuskegee Airmen were trained at Keesler. A few humorous comments in the text by an airplane mechanic who trained at Keesler Field. Light wear at edges, crease at the top right corner of first leaf, a very good copy. (#168042).
