With a detailed appendix to the rear of the work, and a list of subscribers to the front. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with gilt stamped title to spine and crushed morocco label to spine. Externally excellent, with slight bumping to extremities. Bumping to head and tail of spine, with slight loss to cloth. Hinges split and strained, but still reasonably firm. Prior owner's bookplate tipped to front pastedown. Prior owner's ink inscription to front free-endpaper. Internally firmly bound. Pages slightly age toned to extremities but bright and clean with the odd spot to the first and last few pages. Offsetting to title page. Occasional pen inscription to the odd page. Very Good Indeed. book.

Endpages have pencil markings and soiling to top edge of front endpapers, previous owner's sticker to lower edge of pastedowns, and first free endpaper has torn from binding but still holds near top edge. Text block is sunned with light foxing to fore edge and light soiling to top edge. Boards have light scattered soiling and rubbing to edges, chipping to ends of spine and one chip along spine edge, and sunning to spine; rubbing and bumping to corners and ends of spine. Binding is tight, front board bows slightly.
