Die Kunstbücher des Volkes (Band) 23. Der Bildhauer und Medailleur (18…70-1960) war der jüngere Bruder des Malers Paul Klimsch und bereits während der Weimarer Republik einer der berühmtesten deutschen Bildhauer. Sein frühes Werk war noch vom Jugendstil geprägt, später wandte er sich mehr klassischen Formen zu. 1933 passte er sich stilistisch dem NS-Kunstgeschmack an und erlebte einen Höhepunkt seiner Karriere als seine Werke zu hochpreisigen und prestigeträchtigen Luxusgütern der Parteiprominenz wurden. Beiliegend ein Orig.-Photo des Ateliers Heinrich Hoffmann (Hitlers Leibphotograph) mit einer Plastik (nacktes Paar) des Künstlers. Silbergelatineabzug um 1938. 23 x 17,3 cm. Rückseitig Photographenadresse, Copyright-Vermerk und Verlagsnummer "337" eingedruckt. Bild am Rand mit minimaler Aussilberung. Sprache: de.
