First printing of the Gregg Press edition with a five page introduction by Robert J. Randisi. This was the first hardcover edition. First published in book form in paperback by Avon in 1950. The stories were originally published in magazine form in the early 1930s. The boards are clean and unmarked. Tiny mark to the bottom edges of the pages which are otherwise unmarked. The jacket has a little fading to the spine and along the top edge of the rear panel. It also has two small dents to the spine and some light edge wear. Jacket art by Fred Knecht Jr.
