Titled "Hannah Wilke: A Retrospective," it was published in 1989 in conjunction with an exhibition at the University of Missouri, St. Louis. 176 pages filled with documentary photographs in black and white and color, along with writings by Wilke and an introductory essay. Signed by Wilke in the year of publication, along with her iconic labia drawing. From the library of renowned art critic and historian Dore Ashton, though unmarked thus. She was one of the first artists to use vaginal imagery in her work to engage with feminist issues directly. This book was published to accompany an exhibition of the same name at Gallery 210, University of Missouriâ"St Louis (3-28 April 1989).
