Studied was the variation of some genotypes of forage peas belonging to different subspecies with the directions of u…sing methods of pick out, sexual hybridization and mutagenesis. Applied was crossing between varieties with alternative traits. It was found that in F2 generation there was great diversity of types and created opportunity for selection of suitable progenies. Perspective lines steady on stress factors were selected. The inheritance of the element of productivity is determined mainly by additive dominant gene effects. The phenotypic diversity of the quantitative traits in F2 is characterized with continual variability and transgression activities. The uses of method on experimental mutagenesis is analyzed the reaction of four forage peas genotypes to radiation influence (gamma rays Cs137). For actively influence on the mutability and the heritability of the organisms should be matched with suitable methods and ways for change of the ancestral information. 96 pp. Englisch.

The information in this material characterizes winter vetch a…s a favorable forage crop, a source of forage with high energy and nutritional value. Additional information was obtained about the morphobiological variability of the quantitative signs of this crop, and the possibilities for the identification of the genotype by phenotype according to the ecological-genetic model. A comparative assessment of phenotypic variability, adaptability, and ecological stability was performed. In light of the above, it is necessary to expand the sowing of this crop while identifying the seed yield. All this implies an intensification of scientific research to develop new high-yielding varieties and organize a seed production system. Varieties of winter vetch have been identified, which can serve as a source for creating new artificial populations (varieties) adapted to growing conditions in a temperate climate. 148 pp. Englisch.

As a result of purposeful scientific activity at the Institute, new varieties of the grass pea we…re created, as well as promising lines of this crop in the direction of grain production. The study aimed to investigate the breeding and genetic possibilities for enriching the genetic diversity of the grass pea by the methods of combinatorial breeding. Morphological, ecological and biochemical assessment of the collection samples from grass pea was done. The phenotypic correlations between the main features of this species have been determined. Breeding and genetic research has been carried out and the ways of inheriting economically valuable quantitative traits in hybrid generations have been studied. Dominant to hyperdominant negative inheritance was found in F1 at BGE027129xLA5108 for fresh root weight, aboveground biomass weight and nodule weight; LA5108xBGE027129 by fresh leaf weight and aboveground biomass weight. 196 pp. Englisch.

That allowed supplementing the information on the morphobiolo…gical variability of quantitative and qualitative traits in this crop. Optimal parameters of the selection model of white lupine are determined, and the possibilities for identification of the genotype by phenotype are considered. Genotypes, which differ in a complex of economic and biological traits and high seed productivity, are selected. Based on the conducted researches, the breeding value of the accessions regarding studied features, their use in the breeding process are determined. A comparative assessment is performed in terms of phenotypic variability, adaptability, and ecological stability. Genotypes characterized by high seed productivity, tolerance to Fusarium oxysporum, favorable biochemical composition, and in vitro digestibility were selected using the method of multiple individual selection of the hybrid material. Also, accessions with a pronounced tolerance to one of the main weeds (Sorghum halepense) in the lupine areas were determined. 232 pp. Englisch.
