Unbound; no issue is missing. Themes of individual issues are as follows: "Architect Arnost Wiesner" (no. 11-13), "The Exhibition of C…ontemporary Culture in Czechoslovakia, Brno, 1928" (no. 14-16), "Leipzig Trade Fair, 1929" (no. 17), "The Exhibition of Contemporary Culture in Czechoslovakia, Brno, 1928" (no. 18-19), "Architect Bohumir Cermak" (no. 20-22). The magazine contains many ground-plans, high-quality photographs of buildings, interiors and accessories etc. The vast majority of texts is in Czech; the rest is in German and French. /// Paperback, 198+100 pp., 4° (23 x 31 cm), covers worn, yellowed, some of them faded or foxed/stained, every cover has an ownership stamp and a small call number written with pen, there are also some ownership stamps on plates and pages, staples are slightly rusty, edges are slightly darkened, yellowed and foxed, one issue has a starting hinge, condition: good Book Language/s: Czech, German, French.

Horizont was a premier journal of contemporary architecture in Czechoslovakia which appeared with 38 numbers in 22 issues. It showcased modernist and avant-garde design in a sumptuous presentation, with fine typography and numerous illustrat…ions. The present work is of the second year with numbers 11-13 onward each (double or triple) issue devoted to a single theme or architect. It includes major studies of Jirí Kroha's Brno Exposition, works of Arnost Wiesner, B. Cermak, and many others, and features color drawings with metallic inks. From 1928 a supplementary newsletter, ZPRÁVÝ REVUE HORIZONT, was issued and is included with its own pagination. Three library holdings in North America found (Yale, Getty both microfiche, Met).
