Frontis illustrated with a Monochrome Photo Portrait of Dickens. Endpapers illustrated with Characters from the Pickwick Papers. Blue cloth cover with Gilt Armorial Bearing and Lettering to front & Gilt Lettering on spine. 26 Pages, 330g, 10" Tall. No inscriptions. Jacket has a small triangular piece missing from top edge at the back (about 1/2") , some wear near fore edge, a nick at bottom edge and a very small closed tear on the Publisher's name at the front. Also a few small spots of browning and 2 small score marks (see photo). Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.

Dated 1959, Each item has an elegant colour illustration of Dickens character by Sam Kyd. Characters shown are: Sairey Gamp, Tony Weller, Samm Weller, Mr. Pickwick, Mr. Pecksniff, Alfred Jingle and Barnaby Rudge. All are very clean and bright with no markings, inscriptions or bookplates and have been carefully protected in a buff coloured folder by the previous owner.
