The history of the Kynoch Press that Caroline Archer offers is a result of exhaustive research, enriched by personal accounts from surviving staff which give a fascinating perspective on the half-century from 1930 to 1980. This work contains very detailed listings of the types held by the press at every period.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Printed in russet and black on medium quality wove paper.15 line illustrations, 2 full-page. Quarter maroon cloth, orange paper-covered boards, titled in white and maroon. Neat ownership signature on the front cover. A very good copy with a compliments slip loosely inserted. 'The illustrations to this year's Notebook are taken from the sketchbook of R.J. Beeching of our London Office, and stand as a record of his service with the R.A.F. through North Africa to Tunis, Italy and Austria.'.

First edition. Small octavo. Unpaginated. 12 full-page drawings, title-page vignette and endpapers, very much in the manner of Edward Bawden, by Douglas Woodall. Linen-backed paper boards.Lettering of spine partially rubbed away. Corners a little rubbed. Very good. Scarce.

Quarter green cloth with grey pictorial boards, rubbed at corners. A good copy with a few MS notes. Attractive wood-engravings of animals, representing seasons.

Multicoloured paper-covered boards, black cloth spine title in white, original wraparound and box. Box a little soiled, otherwise a fine copy. Cover and typographic design by Roger Denning.
