The engraving shows the 4 figures on the Spandrils on this famous Percy Tomb, said to be the most splendid of British Decorated funerary monuments, but the attribution is uncertain; heraldry, however, makes a date after 1339 likely. Because of the large size of this engraving it would be posted unmounted (unmatted). There is no date of publication but it is c1800.

The top slab of the tomb chest which was removed in 1825 in the almost certainly mistaken belief that this was a later addition, bore the indent of a brass of a priest. Because of the large size of this engraving it would be posted unmounted (unmatted). There is no date of publication but it is c1800.

Mary Finch Hoyt (1923-2013) served as press secretary to Rosalynn Carter as first lady. She had previously worked as a press aide for Jane Muskie during the 1968 Democratic presidential campaign and later Eleanor McGovern during the 1972 Democratic campaign. She would serve as press secretary for Mrs. Carter from 1977-1981. She wrote her memoirs in 2001, titled "East Wing: Politics, the Press, and a First Lady.". Signed.

President Carter began his inaugural address: "For myself and for our Nation, I want to thank my predecessor for all he has done to heal our land." While the relationship between Ford and Carter was rocky at first, they grew to be friends. Such good friends that Ford asked Carter to deliver his eulogy, which he did in 2007. Signed.

Color photograph of President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalynn Carter leaving Marine One, signed by both. The White House letter is dated March 10th, 1980. It is thanking Senate Minority Leader, Howard H. Baker Jr. of Tennessee, for his support for a bipartisan economic summit to combat inflation. An attractive piece. President Carter struggled to combat inflation during his 4-year presidency. With the energy crisis of 1979, fuel prices rose dramatically and so did inflation. Inflation rates hit 13.5% in 1980, the highest level in decades. In this letter to Senate Minority Leader Baker, a Republican, President Carter notes that inflation "transcends partisan political considerations." Soon after this letter, Carter would announce that the economy had slipped into recession. With 1980 being an election year and the economy in recession, the reelection hopes of President Carter were dashed. Ronald Reagan would inherit the economic issues of the late 1970s. Signed.
