The head and tail of the spine are a touch bumped, resulting in discolouration; the extremities similarly lightly bruised. The spine is a touch faded. The boards remain bright, with just one or two minor marks. The front hinge is strained after the front endpaper. The pages have one or two spots, but are generally bright. Complete with twelve colour plates, and illustrated with engraved woodcuts throughout. A lovely first edition example.
