First Edition. 8vo, 102 pages, SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR and inscribed on the title-page "Donni à la Bibliothèque de Sainte-Barbe, Lamarre", morocco spine with marbled paper sides, marbled endpapers, old paper library label on the spine, no other signs of being from a library except for this and the inscription (no stamps, labels, etc.), one letter of the inscription is slightly trimmed, the spine and edges are a little worn, otherwise a very sound, tight and clean copy. NOTE: The Collège Sainte-Barbe, Paris, has a complex history. In the 19th and 20th centuries it seems to have had numerous financial difficulties and changes of location, finally closing in 1999 (French Wikipédia). Clovis Lamarre was a prefect of studies, professor, then administrator of the Collège Sainte-Barbe. He was also the author of numerous books, including the "Histoire de Sainte-Barbe avec aperçu sur l'enseignement secondaire en France de 1860 à 1900". The current Bibliothèque de Sainte-Barbe, located in the buildings of the former Collège Sainte-Barbe, was created in 2004 and opened its doors to the public in 2009. Size: 21.5 x 13.5 cm.
