This is an ex-library copy with the usual tape ghosts and wear to the book. This is a department store rental copy when they did such things, specifically the R.H. White department store chain based in Boston MA USA(1853-1980), and I'll include the department store library wrap-around with the book. A picture of it can be seen in the seller images. An historical adventure novel set in fifteenth century England, featuring Lord Robert of Haldingham.

Without dustjacket (as issued?). Lermontov's life was short and tragic. Tolstoy thought him a genius of Russian literature and lamented his untimely passing.
