Eine Zeichnung zeigt eine junge Dame beim Tennisspiel, die andere eine Villa (Ausschnitt). - Der letzte Nachkomme einer Unternehmerfamil…ie, die mit einer Pflanzenfarbenfabrikation in Mannheim zu Wohlstand gekommen war, sollte im Jahr darauf seinen Studienfreund Franz Marc zu einer mehrmonatigen Reise durch Frankreich einladen, die die beiden nach Paris, in die Bretagne und in die Normandie führte. Zu seiner Zeit in München nicht ganz unbekannt, bespielte Lauer zwar mit einigem Erfolg einige Ausstellungen, war aber weder Mitglied des Blauen Reiter noch der Münchner Sezession. - Beiliegend eine eh. Postkarte "an die Genossen Laurer [!], Roth und Scherer" in München, das einen jungen Mann mit Schnauzbart und Monokel zeigt: "Melde jehorsamst, jut annjekommen! [] Jrüsse / ENGEL". - Alle Karten etwas fleckig bzw. gebräunt.
