This work is profusely illustrated with numerous b/w photographic reproductions of documents, views and aircrafts. Some age wear on wrappers with age-toning and slight soiling along edges. Text in French. Wrappers in overall good, interior in very good condition. *Klecanda, Vojtech VladimÌr, Czech Major-General (1888-1947). From 1922 to 1924, he was Commanding Officer of the 1st Brigade; From 1924 to 1925 he was Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence. From 1925 to 1929 he was Military Attaché to France. From 1929 to 1931 he was General Officer Comanding 2nd Division. From 1931 to 1934 General Officer Commanding 1st Division. In 1934 Head of the Czechoslovakian Military Mission to Columbia. From 1934 to 1935 General Officer Commanding 8th Division. From 1935 to 1939 Military Attaché to Italy. He retired in 1940.
