Pjotr Lawrowitsch Lawrow (1823-1900) war ein russischer Dichter, Publizist und ein bedeutender Theoretiker der Narodnikibewegung. Im Exil trat er 1871 der Internationalen Arbeiterassoziation bei. Im gleichen J…ahr nahm er an der Pariser Kommune teil, in dem er als ehemaliger Offizier die Abteilungen der Kommunarden organisierte. Anfang 1873 ging er nach Zürich, um die Leitung des russischen sozialrevolutionären Blattes Wperjod (Vorwärts) zu übernehmen, das nach Russland geschmuggelt wurde. Dabei geriet er in Konflikt mit Michail Bakunin, der ebenfalls den Kontakt zur russischen Jugend suchte, jedoch davon überzeugt war, dass alles getan werden muss um die soziale Revolution so schnell wie möglich herbeizuführen. Lawrow dagegen sah in der längerfristigen Bildung und geistigen Vorbereitung der Massen auf die Revolution den Weg, den die russische Jugend einschlagen sollte. Während Bakunin dabei eine größere Wirkung in Rußland erreichte, wurde Lawrow in Exilkreisen präferiert. Nach dem Attentat auf Alexander II. näherte er sich der Vereinigung Narodnaja Wolja ( Volkswille ) an. Expl. teilweise ungeschnitten und mit leichten randläsuren. Papierbedingt etwas gebräunt. Zweites Expl. mit handschrift. Besitzvermerk von Arthur Müller-Lehning, jedoch mittig gebrochener Buchblock. 800 gr.
