Giovanni XXIII, Paolo VI e perfino papa Luciani, inzialmente avverso, prestarono interesse al Rosmini; Giovanni Paolo II ne avviò la beatificazione, Ratzinger (poi papa Benedetto XVI) nel 2001 pur riaffermando la validità del decreto "Post obitum", confermò la riabilitazione di Rosmini.
