A nice association copy between Ross Macdonald and his longtime lawyer and friend. Kenneth Millar, signed "Ken" in this copy, used numerous pseudonyms over his career, including John Macdonald, John Ross Macdonald, and Ross Macdonald. These pen names, made up of popular Millar family names, were used to help avoid confusion between Kenneth and his wife, Margaret, who was also a mystery fiction author. Signed first edition of Archer in Hollywood by Ross Macdonald, inscribed to his lawyer, Harris Seed. This omnibus edition of Lew Archer stories includes The Moving Target, The Way Some People Die, and The Barbarous Coast. (illustrator). Signed.
