Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. ppviii 344. frontispiece portrait. good/very good condition in the original binding and dust-jacket. foxing to half-title and a bit of foxing to title-page. internally very clean. lower corner crease to two pages. hint of foxing to fore-edge. very slight forward lean. dust-jacket complete and not price-clipped. a little edge worn to top and foot. the red banner style title on the front panel of the jacket shows yellow on the spine, which I believe is how it was issued. The attached images accurately show the book's condition. The original edition of the autobiography of the Second Officer of the 'Titanic'. Following the threat of a lawsuit from the Marconi Company the book was withdrawn from sale, making it a rarity in first edition form, and with the dust-jacket, probably the rarest Titanic related published book.
