143, (1) Seiten. Mit sehr zahlreichen teils farbig faks. Abbildungen u. Dokumenten. Farbig illustrierte Originalbroschur. (Quelle Wikipedia) Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 700.

Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book presents a revolutionary approach to stage design and explores the relationship between stage visuals and the audience. The author contends that since the Italian Renaissance, Western theaters have been stuck in a representational mode that emphasizes realistic settings and creates an illusion of real-world locations. However, the author argues that this approach damages the experience of the drama and that it is time for a fundamental shift in how we think about stage design. The book draws on the ideas of great thinkers like Goethe, Schinkel, and Semper, who all advocated for a more stylized and evocative approach to stagecraft. The author places this conversation within the context of contemporary theater and film and solidifies the argument for a new theatrical paradigm. This book presents a provocative and deeply researched challenge to conventional theater design. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
