There is a spine lean and the spine is faded and there is fraying at the top and bottom with a quarter-inch tear at the top and some surface creasing. There is one large stain to the centre of the front panel with about twelve smaller stains around this. The rear panel has seven small stains over it and there is rubbing to the corners. Page edges browned with scattered spotting and a little dark marking to the bottom corners. The rear free endpaper has been removed. Browning to the endpapers with some spotting to the first few pages. There is some spotting in a few places through the book but the pages are otherwise generally unmarked. No jacket. First printing.
