The Club's History, statistics, Champions, facts and figures are available in a fascinating book- 100 years of Shettleston Harriers -an East-End Odyssey. When 12 young men from the east- end of Glasgow sat down in Houston's Tearooms in Shettleston Road in September 1904 to form a new athletics club, little could they have realised the legacy they would leave behind them. Over the next century Shettleston Harriers established themselves as one of Scotland's and, at times, Britain's foremost athletics clubs. Shettleston's story is part of the story of Scottish athletics and of the saga that was the twentieth century. That story is now told in a highly successful book published in summer of 2004, the club's centenary year. The book is the result of countless hours in the Mitchell library by several club members, statistics compiled by John Mackay and narrative by John Cairney. The book is in excellent condition with no inscriptions.
