Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Colour lithograph printed map, 120cm x 75cm, canvas backed , folding down into blue cloth covered hard boards, 16cm x 20cm. Gilt lettering to the upper board. The map is printed in red, green and black; it marks the towns and cities, rivers, lakes and canals, and railway lines, but is most focused on information important to recreational shooters, with information on tidal flows, flooding and swamp areas. There is a tide table for Shanghai at the top. Areas of rolling hills to the east of Nanking and grassy country to the south of Chinkiang are marked as "Good Shooting". This very fertile and well irrigated region running between Hangchow and Nanking provided excellent breeding grounds for game birds and drew many sportsmen from Shanghai and the region. The map has a little wear on the cross-folds and some seams but no loss. Clean and bright and very attractive. In Very Good Plus condition.
