Well worn (particularly so to the corners) and soiled cloth boards with loss to some parts of the heavily soiled spine which has bright gilt lettering, "A Family History". Soiled and stained page edges and with Brigg Grammar School reference library label laid down to fp. Facing it in ink is, "With love from Jane and Marjorie Hett May 1934" along with ink and pencil notes which are also present to several of the blank pages at the rear along with a few parts of the foxed contents. Verso of ffep has a laid down original engraving of Brigg dated 1835. Foxing light to most parts of the text and plates.
