Richard Campbell (Dick) McBride (1913-1990) was born into a distinguished pastorlist family in South Australia. He spent his childhood on several of the stations owned at that time by his great grandfather R J M McBride and grandfather W J McBride. His parents moved to Western Australia in 1928. The first few years in Western Australia were spent on a farm, and station in the north west, but after service during the war with the Survey Corps, his work thereafter was a surveyor and pastoral inspector in the Northern Territory, and finally his own business. This book covers his life in the Outback areas of SA, NT and the North West of Western Australia.
