One of 130 copies printed. Bookplate Scottish novelist and poet of Naomi Mitchison to flyleaf. Small chip to foot of half title page, some spotting throughout. A scarce collection with a nice literary provenance. Near fine. A collection of original poetry by boys at Abbotsholme School, one of the contributors being Denis Mitchison son of Naomi Mitchison, he is also credited with taking a part in the printing of the book.

Usual stamps etc. Signature of John Roxborough Norman (1898-1944) English ichthyologist, who worked at the Natural History Musuem, London. Scarce. James Clark McKerrow (1887-1965) was a British physician and philosopher, an original thinker and held unorthodox opinions. In this work he proposed a non-Darwinian view where evolution happens through inherent tendencies in "four-dimensional" life processes. This work supplemented his earlier metaphysical work,Novius Organum,1931.
