Softcover. Condition: Very Good. A tight, clean paperback copy which is not dated, but 1934 sounds about right. Despite its age, this is quite an attractive copy, with little wear to the covers and only minimal toning of the pages. The text is in English and German, and there are five photographic plates. The only marking is a neat signature on the first page. Two charming aspects: first, the translation is expressed as "Englished by Gerald Abraham", and second, the publisher is a bookseller whose address is given as 83 Charing Cross Road, putting him right across the street from the shop made famous by Helene Hanff.

Condition: Fair. 223 pages. No dust jacket. Green cloth with gilt lettering. Book has a slight smoky odour. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with heavy foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges.

Dezember 1884 in Oldenburg (Oldenburg)) war ein deutscher Richter und Parlamentarier. Johann Albrecht Drost studierte Rechtswissenschaften an der Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg. 1835 wurde er Mitglied des Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg. Nach dem Studium trat der in den oldenburgischen Justizdienst ein, war Accessist in Jever und wurde Landgerichtsassessor in Ovelgönne. Später war er am dortigen Amtsgericht Amtsrichter und Justizrat. Von 1865 bis zu seiner Pensionierung 1879 war er Mitglied des Staatsgerichtshofes in Oldenburg.
