Montgomery - who owned, bred and showed Irish Terriers - consists of 112 pages about the Irish Terrier, history in the UK and America, breed characteristics, showing and breeding as well as condition the Irish Terrier for the Show Ring. Part II by Mile G. Denlinger and revised by A.C. Merrick DVM is 130 pages and has chapters on training, feeding, breeding, veterinary issues and housing. Although this section is titled The Complete Irish Terrier, the information applies to just about any breed. Many b/w photos throughout of prominent dogs of the breed. Engraving is printed to the verso of the first leaf, rear end paper absent, staining from the leather turn-in's front and back. This volume, along with other books of the period, came from the family estate of Sir Frederick Treves, SIGNED by his father William Treves to the front free end paper 'William Treves - Dorchester', green heraldic bookplate of Reverend Nathaniel Thornbury, Avening, Gloucestershire to the front paste down.
