Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. In French. Apparent First Edition (NAP, 1977 on the title page). The black covers are very clean. The gilt lettering on the spine is nicely bright. The cover edges are in excellent shape, no rubbing. The corners look very good, one tiny spot of rub-through at the rear top one. The page edges look very good. The binding is very solid from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. The front inside cover and front end paper together form a large illustration. The rear inside cover and rear end paper together form a large map. All are in excellent condition. The same can be said for all of the pages. Scrolling through, I haven't found any instances of soiling. I'm not seeing any creasing, no placeholder creases, no turned-down corners. There are no markings in the book. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere. There are a great many illustrations, the majority in black and white, some in color. They are all in excellent condition. The jacket is in very solid condition. I have always had it in a fitted protective cover. I just removed it to get a better look at the jacket and to try and avoid glare in the photos. I will replace the jacket with a new protective cover after the photos are taken. Because the jacket is black there may still be some glare or reflections in the photos. There are only two tiny edge tears on the jacket. There's some light scratching on the rear cover, also not unusual with black covers. There is little creasing off the bottom edge of the rear cover. There are two thin spots on the front under the white lettering. The flaps are in very good shape. They do not have any print on them. They are not clipped. There is no price on the jacket.
