Kapitale und Kanten etwas abgeschürft, alte Bibl.-Schilder, minimal berieben. der seltenen Beschreibung des deutschen Reiches, der Deutschen und ihrer Sprache im europäischen Kontext. Autor ist der aus Nürnberg stammende Jurist Michael Praun (1626-1696) , der "baden-durlachischer Landschreiber", "Oberamtsverweser" und "Hofrat" später dann in Kempten im Allgäu war. In seinem umfangreiche Werk der "Anmuthigkeiten" tangiert er die Demographie, die Ethnologie und Philologie, aber auch die Kosmologie und Eschatologie: "So dann Die wunderbahre Regierung Gottes über die Japhiten, Europäer und Teutschen. Womit auch zugleich viel Geheimnüß der Natur von Erschaffung und Untergang der Welt, von Ursachen der Sündfluth, und daß die Welt mitten in der Lufft schwebe: Item, von den Kennzeichen der letzten Zeit und deß instehenden Jüngsten Tages entdecket, und das gantze Werk in zwey Theil verhandelt worden. Allwo Im letzteren nicht allein dieses erwiesen ist, wie ein vollkommener Fürstlicher Staats-Rath ein Phoenix seye: sondern nechst solchen sind auch verschiedene curieuse, so wohl Politische als Juristische Discurs in solchen erörtert und außgefertiget" (Titel). Das Werk geriet zu einem Kuriosum der barocken Lebenskunst und der Literatur und fand damit auch Eingang in die entsprechenden Bibliographien. Seite 72 des ersten Teils mit einem Holzschnitt mit Schriftzeichen "Alphabetum Cimbricum" und der griechischen Entprechung. Der zweite Teil mit dem Titel: "Paradoxon politicum: Ein vollkommener Fürstl. Staats-Rath ist ein Phönix. Mit Einmischung vieler curieuser Politischen und Juristischen Discursen und Streit-Fragen erörtert und ausgefertiget". Titel mit winzigem Namensstempelchen, stellenweise etwas gebräunt und braunfleckig, meist aber sehr ordentlich, gutes Exemplar von größter Seltenheit, kein Exemplar im Handel nachweisbar, in zahlreichen öffentlichen Bibliotheken nicht vorhanden.
