"California Joe" was one of the greatest scouts in all the West and was a mountain man, Mexican War veteran, Forty-niner, Oregon pioneer, gold-seeker in California, Idaho, and Montana, Indian fighter, and army scout. The authentic account by Colonel William H. C. Bowen of "Custer's Last Fight" provides his first-hand account of the battle. Six Guns 1507 says "Scarce." "Rich in information about Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickok." A fine, bright copying dust jacket.
