Der Herausgeber, der sorbische evangelische Pfarrer, Physikotheologe und Schriftsteller Adam Gottlob Schirach (1724 - 1773; obersorbisch: Hadam Bohuchwal Serach) trat durch weitere theologische Übersetzungen ins Sorbische, so unter anderem durch Herausgabe eines wendischen Gesangbuchs hervor und darf als einer der profiliertesten theologischen Vertreter der sorbischen Kultur und Sprache seiner Zeit gelten. Zugleich erwarb er sich einen internationalen Ruf als Naturforscher, im Besonderen als ständiger Sekretär der 1766 von ihm gegründeten physikalisch-oeconomischen Bienengesellschaft in Oberlausitz. In toto sehr gutes und stabiles Exemplar dieser äußerst seltenen Hauspostille in sorbischer Sprache, die im antiquarischen Buchhandel sonst nicht anzutreffen ist; ein Exemplar des Bandes wird im Sorbischen Museum in Bautzen gezeigt; ein Foto des Bandes illustriert den Wikipedia-Artikel zum Thema "Hauspostille".
