Original cloth, illustrated onlay, no jacket. 1920s ladies' fashion, though more extensively a guide to succeeding as a crafty and fashionable woman with a particular focus on the successful use of colour for different types of women. The majority of the illustrations signed Hilton, possibly Cecil Hilton Jones, also Alec J. Wood. Minor shelf and handling wear. <1.5cm closed tear to top edge of title page. Condition: Very Good. Large 8vo. illustrated cloth hardcover. 105pp. b/w illus., seven large & two small tipped-in colour plates of women in dresses. Very good, two of the plates have small creases on bottom corner, foxing to edge of text block, light foxing throughout, a litle spot of cloth lifting on front board. Book originally sold only in-store. Author was Bebarfalds employee. Scarce.
