Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. The Better Dress-Maker: Publication date thought to be circa 1920's. 497 illustrations. A lovely book. The cover, end pages and page edges show some foxing and light staining but are in good condition otherwise. The binding is sound. There are no loose pages. Also included: A booklet titled The Secret of Sewing Efficiency (Containing concise and definite instruction for the better use of the sewing machine by Bebarfalds) (In good condition - light foxing) Instruction booklet for Bebarfald - Bluebird Sewing Machine (shows heavy wear and foxing. Front cover missing).

Condition: Very Good. Large 8vo. illustrated cloth hardcover. 105pp. b/w illus., seven large & two small tipped-in colour plates of women in dresses. Very good, two of the plates have small creases on bottom corner, foxing to edge of text block, light foxing throughout, a litle spot of cloth lifting on front board. Book originally sold only in-store. Author was Bebarfalds employee. Scarce.

Sydney: Bebarfald's Ltd., 1927. Small 4to. Original illustrated cloth with oval illustration mounted on front cover (boards slightly discoloured). (150pp.). Complete with 11 tipped-in plates 10 of which are coloured depicting various dress designs and numerous text-illustrations. Title-page printed in red and black ink. Light foxing on end-papers. NOTE: Published by the famous Sydney mercer, Bebarfald's Ltd. (opposite Town Hall) and produced by Mona Moncrieffe of Bebarfald-Bluebird Sewing Machine Department, on ladies fashion of the 1920's.
