Large format. Sewn as issued, pictorial wrappers, inscribed by the author. Very fine. Stockholm 2000. 34 x 24 cm. 98 sid. Rikligt illustrerad i färg. / Text bilingual in Swedish and English.

Stapled as issued in pictorial wrappers, neat ownership inscription. Very fine. Stockholm, Longstorp Exhibitions, [1989]. 4to. 29,7 x 21 cms. 48 pp. Richly illustrated in colour, including one foldout. With biographical essay and catalogue (34 entries). (Foreword:) "Around the turn of the century a young generation of Swedish artists came to challenge the academic conventions which had operated among Scandinavian painters for generations, and discovered a new expressiveness of form and colour. These painters were to various degrees influenced by the European Post-Impressionists, most notably Gauguin and Van Gogh. None the less, several of these Swedish advocates of modern art achieved completely individual styles. Those I am thinking of particularly are J.A.G. Acke, Ivan Aguéli, Carl Fredrik Hill, Eugéne Jansson, Ernst Josephson, Karl Nordström, Olof Sager-Nelson, August Strindberg, and Axel Törneman. It is a great pleasure for me to see an exhibition of Törneman's paintings, which includes some artist's most important works, take place in London" Fredrik Posse).
