In general, therefore, the printing of prayer books and Bibles remained outside the scope of this survey and were mentioned only where special circumstances warranted their inclusion owing to their local importance for Prague. The writings of the Prague rabbis, especially early examples of works published in Prague, were included, whereas of the other publication of Prague printers only characteristic specimens were mentioned."
