[London, Sherwin, Half-length portrait of William Dampier (1651-1715), explorer and pirate, holding a copy of his own account of his voyages.    The oil painting by Thomas Murray which this engraving is after was painted c.1697. It is currently held in the National Portrait Gallery in London.…
