With decorative head-pieces and surrounds for the plates, also by Stella Bailey. Includes a glossary of South African words.The joints are worn, and it appears that the backstrip has split at the rear joint and been glued back into place. Elsewhere the corners, edges and spine ends are slightly rubbed, and there are a few minor marks on the cloth. There is some light spotting to textblock edges and endpapers, as well as some mild offsetting to endpapers (it appears there was once a jacket). There is some further light spotting to page surfaces but generally to perimeters.222 pages. Size 28.5 x 22.2 x 2.9 cm.
